

Grades 6-8 Spring Break Camp

Our camp offers everything you could imagine for the outdoor-loving, adventure-seeking middle schooler!
This Spring Break, learn all types of outdoor, farm, and nature based skills and crafts. From spear making and metal work, forest tracking, trail blazing, lei making and lauhala weaving to structure building, husbandry and farm practices, each day is packed full of new activities.
This program encourages pre-teens and early teens to find their strength, reconnect with nature, and build a strong bond with their peers. Students will come home with multiple handmade keepsakes that they can use for future outdoor expeditions.
The last day will include a camp-out where students will get to put their shelters to the test! Students will have a campfire, camp dinner, smores, live music, stories, games, and multiple chaperones to ensure safety and fun!
Open to middle school students grades 6-8, ages 11-14
$390/week + $60 Supply Fee

Flint Knapping, Spear making
Campers will get a lesson on flint knapping and arrow head design. We'll attach our points to a hand-crafted spear shaft for throwing practice.

Lauhala Weaving and Lei Making
Campers will learn how to beautifully weave Hala leaves and make lei to create useful and functional keepsakes.

Tracking, Trail-Blazing, Structure Building
Campers will learn how to navigate through the gulches, look for animal prints and signs of wildlife, and build structures out of the supplies around us! Local experts will guide us on our excursions.

Stories of the Stars
During our Thursday night campout, we'll be joined by navigators and star gazers to learn of the legends hidden in the night sky.

Warm up's and additional activities
All of the above activities will be in addition to a full program dedicated to introducing campers to animal husbandry, farm routine, and sustainable agriculture. Warm-up activities and specific guest teachers to be listed in our camp schedule.
